Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using GeniusCook (the “Service”), including our website at geniuscook.app and any related apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

GeniusCook provides recipe inspiration, smart meal planning, pantry and shopping tools, an AI-powered “Pantry-to-Plate” recipe generator, and a personal “Hero Book” capture studio. Some features require a free account; others require a paid membership or one-time credit purchase.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice for paid-feature changes that materially affect your use.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you are using the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Keep your account credentials secure and accurate. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that appear to be compromised.

GeniusCook offers free, Basic, and Premium membership tiers, plus one-time credit packs. Prices are shown in Euros and processed through our payment partner, Stripe.

• Subscriptions: Basic and Premium memberships renew automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel anytime from your billing portal; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Already-paid subscription periods are generally not refunded. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
• Credits: One-time recipe credits do not expire while your account remains active. Credits are not transferable or refundable.
• Prices and allowances may change. If we increase your subscription price, we will notify you in advance.

Pantry-to-Plate recipes and hero images are generated by AI models based on the ingredients and preferences you provide. Results are suggestions, not guarantees.

You should verify ingredients, quantities, cooking times, and safety — especially if you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions. Always use your own judgment in the kitchen.

Hero Book lets you capture photos, videos, and notes while cooking (“Your Content”). You retain ownership of Your Content. By uploading it, you grant GeniusCook Malta a limited licence solely to store, display back to you, and enable the features you request (such as compiling a PDF or sharing a cover image).

You are responsible for Your Content. Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful, infringing, or that violates anyone’s privacy or intellectual-property rights. We may remove content that breaches these rules.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ accounts.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI generation or payment systems.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that promotes discrimination or violence.
• Share account access or resell memberships or credits.

The GeniusCook name, logo, recipe collection, editorial content, design, and software are owned by GeniusCook Malta or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without our written permission.

Shareable recipe cards and Hero Book exports generated within the Service may be used for personal, non-commercial sharing. Commercial use requires our prior approval.

GeniusCook recipes and content are provided for general wellness and culinary inspiration only. They are not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. If you have high blood pressure, allergies, diabetes, or any other health condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeniusCook Malta and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that by their nature survive termination will continue.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Where applicable, EU consumer-protection laws will apply. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, they will be submitted to the competent courts in Malta.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
